Day 7: A Song That Reminds Me of a Certain Event.

Alright. So I use to not like John Mayer. Like, at all. I absolutely LOVE him now. I'm actually seeing him in concert in 2 weeks. So stoked.

It wasn't until my senior year in high school, or maybe the beginning of college that I started liking him. So for most of high school, I didn't like him. My sophomore year I was going out on one of my first dates. The guy was super chill, but it was just me and him in his truck, listening to John Mayer. I was nervous/excited because I've never really done the whole dating thing before and I was a 16 nerdy girl still figuring everything out. Normally music will help calm me down. However, he was playing JOHN MAYER. I hated John Mayer. We did a lot of driving, and it seemed like all I could concentrate on was the cd playing. Finally, the cd played all the way through. It didn't matter tho, we listened to it again. I believe we went through that cd three times. I couldn't believe it. My heart felt like it was going to explode. There was one song that I actually did like, and loved when it came back on. I started singing to it which made him too. He dropped me off and overall it was a great date. When I got in, I did go straight to my room to play some different kind of music so John Mayer wouldn't be in my head when I went to sleep.

Whenever I hear No Such Thing, it reminds me of that date. This is probably the song that led me to look into John Mayer (a few years later, I was convinced that I would never like him.) This song still plays on the radio, so it's always a blast from the past when I hear it.

John Mayer-No Such Thing.
