third times a charm.

Alright, so I have been traveling a lot this summer. But mostly to one state. That's where I was last weekend.... California.

I know what I'm going to hear.... "Again?! Weren't you just THERE?" As my friend put it, "You go to California everyday!" Well I guess I do. But this time it was all about my Aunt's wedding, which took place in Newport Beach on a yacht. Fancy? Yes sir.

My family and I flew in Friday morning and spent the day at Santa Monica Pier. I've actually never been there before, and it was super fun! The water is soooo much colder in CA than it is in Hawaii. Just saying. Later on, we went to meet up with the whole fam at Newport Beach to take wedding pictures. I haven't seen my whole family in so long, so it was good seeing everyone and I was so happy to be there for my Aunt on her day. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture with her (I know, what kind of niece am I?) but it was an absolutely beautiful wedding.

The next day, I went to Universal Studios. I have never been there either (this trip was full of California firsts) and spent the whole day there. There are only like 8 rides, and none of them are really big rides, so this place is almost like a one and done in my mind, although it was a lot of fun. I'm just more of a Disneyland fan. I really enjoyed The Simpsons ride, Jurassic Park and Shrek 3D tho. There is also a tram tour of Universal Studios which was really cool too. They showed where they film movies and King Kong in 3D was super cool. All of these rides were an absolute blast. It was a lot of fun going to an amusement park I have never been to before.

The last day we just had a beach day. It was a really quick trip, but it was a lot of fun. This was my last and final trip to CA this summer! Next time I get on a plane I will be headed back to Hawaii!
