Orlando was sooooo much fun! Best week ever. I seriously needed this little vaca.
Okay, so I left Hawaii on Tuesday around noon, and then took a red eye from LAX to Orlando. Let’s just say I got little to no sleep that flight. Maybe 20 minutes. Maybe. I got to Orlando at 5:30 am. Gross. I was tired, but ready for the day. We got our car, checked into the hotel and were on our way to Disney World for the day. I have a friend from Hawaii doing an internship at Disney right now, so he was able to get me in for free. It was sweet. I spent the first day at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. I had fun, but the only bummer about that day was that I was going off of no sleep. I was up for a whole day and a half. I slept well that night.
The next day, I went to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This was probably, most definitely, my favorite day of the entire trip. It was just so, magical. I’m serious. My friend and I literally ran to the park in Universal Studios. I took so many pictures, and it really does feels like you are at Hogwarts. I drank frozen butterbeer, ate fish and chips at the three broomsticks, stood in line at Ollivanders where I got Cedric Diggory's wand, (hey, it chose me. And was the coolest one in my opinion) rode the rides, walked around the shops, and just took it all in. I would recommend this to any Harry Potter fan. It’s so awesome.
The third day, we met up with my friend who lives in Orlando
and ate at a waffle house. It was super good and very Southern of us haha. He took us on a tour of where he
works, and then spent the night at Downtown Disney. More of a chill
day for sure.
The last full day I had in Orlando, I went to the Animal
Kingdom and Magic Kingdom within Disney World. In Animal Kingdom, we went on a Safari and sat in
the very back of it. Best seat on the ride. We saw so many animals close up and it was super cool. We also saw The Lion King and Finding Nemo shows. Magic Kingdom was fun too, but it’s definitely a water downed Disneyland. Not
as impressive. It was still a lot of fun tho.
The next day I left early in the morning and got back to
Hawaii around 7:00 pm. It was like 12 hours of flying. AND I had a 3 hour lay
over in LAX (yuck.) I got home around 8:00, was in bed by 8:30, and woke up the
next morning at 8:30. This trip really wore me out. I got very little sleep (it's a 6 hour time difference) but it was such a fun trip. I would go back in a heartbeat.
