let's get this music challenge donezo!!! i'm going to do the rest of the days in this one post.
Day 25: A Song That Makes You Laugh. I've gotta go with Goldfinger-Stalker. GREAT SONG. 2 thumbs up.
Day 26: A Song That You Can Play On An Instrument. I've played the piano for YEARS. My all time favorite song to play was Vanessa Carlton-A Thousand Miles.
Day 27: A Song That You Wish You Could Play. Daniel Bedingfield-Gotta Get Thru This. I love this song and I wish I could play it on the guitar.
Day 28: A Song That Makes You Feel Guilty. Linkin Park-Breaking The Habit. "I put my trust in you" gets me every time.
Day 29: A Song From Your Childhood. My mom is from Texas so I grew up listening to country (I have since then seen that there is more to music than country and hardly ever listen to it now.) So I'm going with Reba McEntire-Fancy. But any 90s country music reminds me of my childhood too.
Day 30: Your Favorite Song At This Time Last Year. I'm going with good old BS-Womanizer. loved that song && still do.
alright!! that's it. so glad it's done. hope you guys loved reading about my music taste. you probably know me better now for reading it.
listening to: UB40-Can't Help Falling In Love With You.

Day 24: A Song That You Want To Play At Your Funeral.
Posted by
Lindsay Brooke.
interesting question. i've never really thought of what song would be played at my funeral. at all of the funerals i've been to, there's always been someone singing. i think i'd rather have piano solo. something soft and pretty. like in the last song. or a harmonica. haha totally kidding.
i don't necessarily care if this song is played, this is just an example.
Claude Debussy-Clair de Lune.
listening to: neil diamond-sweet caroline.

I really love Out of My League by Stephen Speaks. It's sooooo cute and I love the piano in it. One of my ALL TIME FAVORITES.
Stephen Speaks-Out Of My League.
Me and Jessica would also talk about the song Eternity from the Swan Princess... so I'll put that one too. Just for kicks and giggles.
Swan Princess-Eternity.
Who knows what will be played there tho. Something totally awesome no doubt.

This one is a hard one for me... I guess it would have to be No Air because boys make me sad sometimes haha. But like my last post, 90s music always makes me happy. So whenever I'm sad, I listen to a lot 90s music to make me happy again.
Jordin Sparks && Chris Brown-No Air.

When I get really really happy or excited about something, it's natural for me to blast music and it's even better if I can dance to it. Here is a list of songs that I listen to:
1. The Rocket Summer-So Much Love.
2. Hannah Montana Feat. David Archuleta-I Want To Know You (I know, right!)
3. Kelly Clarkson-My Life Would Suck Without You.
4. The Ting Tings-Great DJ.
5. ANYTHING 90s. This music always gets me pumped.
ah so much more I want to list, but these have been my recent songs so I'll stick with it.

my all time FAVORITE hate/anger song would have to be:
The All-American Rejects-Gives You Hell.
I cannot describe my love for this song. The words are everything to me. The meaning, the way they flow, everything about this song is just perfect. You can just hear the anger and hatred in it. I listen to this song when I'm angry.

Taylor Swift is my favorite. I don't know what I would do without her. So I'm going to list my favorite song from all of her albums (even tho her new one is not out yet, I know it will become a favorite of mine.)
1. Taylor Swift. It's really hard for me to choose a favorite from this album, but I would have to go with, I'm Only Me When I'm With You. It's just a feel good song and I looooove this song.
Taylor Swift-I'm Only Me When I'm With You.
2. Fearless. Again. It's really hard for me to pick a favorite from this album too. Both of these albums I have listened to over and over and over again. I know all her songs by heart. The one from Fearless would have to be, Forever & Always. I love that she calls Joe Jonas out and how she describes her pain more fully in the piano version. This is my go to anger song. love it a lot.
Taylor Swift-Forever & Always.
3. Speak Now. okay so I haven't heard this album yet. but I already know that I'm going to love it. So seeing as tho I already know one song, this is the only one that I can say I like from the album. so until further notice, mine is my favorite song from this album. it makes me feel happy:) that is all.
Taylor Swift-Mine.

Day 18: A Song That You Wish You Heard On The Radio.

okay so one of my FAVORITE things in the world is knowing artists that are not well known and finding other people who love the same artist. it's like a common bond. so I love it when I find artists who are not on the radio. so i kind of hate this question a little bit.
but if I have to choose a song I wish I could hear on the radio, it would have to be this one:
matt costa-mr. pitiful.
I love this man. He's pure genius. I love everything about him and his music. that is all.
listening to: weezer-perfect situation.

Day 16: A Song That You Used To Love But Now Hate.
Posted by
Lindsay Brooke.
After much thought, I have decided that a lot of old school Kelly Clarkson songs I no longer like.
When Kelly Clarkson first won American Idol, I LOVED her. I loved every song she came out with. I bought her albums and listened to her ALL THE TIME. Don't get me wrong, I still am a HUGE Kelly fan. I'm so dedicated I even went and saw "From Justin to Kelly" in the theaters. It sucked, btw.
Since I have listened to her over and over and over, I am now officially over a lot of her old stuff. All except Since U Been Gone. Love that song.
The only songs that I don't like anymore are:
-A Moment Like This.
-Breakaway.
-Because of You.
-Walk Away.
-Already Gone.
Still a Kelly fan, I just don't like all of her songs like I used to.
Kelly Clarkson-Already Gone.

Day 15: A Song That Describes You.
Posted by
Lindsay Brooke.
This one is really hard because I don't think there is one song that describes me. I think that songs will describe me when I'm going through certain things in my life, but not one song describes me. When I was younger it would be some cheesy love song, and right now I'd say that I live a life similar to Avril and Taylor's because I can relate to a lot of their music.
Soooooo. I'm giving you my ego song. It's actually not a great recording, and this video cuts off before the song is actually over, so bear with it. This song describes me PERFECTLY. haha joking. I'll post the lyrics so you can see them if you don't want to hear it.
hellogoodbye-Lindsay Pia Aia Mode.
Sing songs for Lindsay Pai tell her how she caught my eye
Let her know how it's been so long
The first impressions seemed so strong.
I don't know what to say or do every feeling feels so new
I have got a chance,
To get this girl to come and dance.
She probably thinks that im obsessed,
But I just think that she's the best.
She probably thinks that I'm just lonely,
But I've got good friends
And she's the only..
One that makes me feel this way
When she's around I lose my brain
The only thing that clouds the sun
Is that she's got someone..
What do I do now?
I have got to figure her out
Because this means more than I ever ever thought it might
I'm setting off to sea tonight
Forever and ever seems so bright and im setting off to sea tonight
Because this means more than I ever ever thought it might
I'm setting off to sea tongiht
Forever and ever seems so bright and im seeting off to sea tonight
I'm writing lyrics in the park
I go to her house after dark
Tap on the window
Hope and pray
That she will like all the gifts that I made
All we ever are is friends
We both know that that ever ends
She will go on with the guy she's got
And I promise that I will stay in my spot
Because this means more than I ever ever thought it might
I'm setting off to sea tonight
Forever and ever seems so bright and im seeting off to sea tonight

so these songs may or may not surprise you. i guess we will find out and see.
1.Sisqo-Thong Song. Not sure why, but I really like this song. Reminds me of junior high days. The chorus is my favorite part. maybe this should have been my guilty pleasure song:)
Sisqo-Thong Song.
2. Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya, Pink - Lady Marmalade. I have loved this song ever since it first came out. I know all the words and I sing it all the time. Even tho I should probably stop singing, "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?" ohhh welllll.
Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya, Pink-Lady Marmalade.

alright. my all time favorite guilty pleasure song would have to be: 3OH!3-Don't Trust Me.
i listen to this song. a lot. my friends and i would always say to each other, "3oh!3 tells me not to trust you." we thought we were so funny. i'm not sure when or why my obsession of this song happened, it just did. now you all know.
i'm posting up this music video because i thought it was funnier than the original.

Day 12: A Song From A Band You Hate.
Posted by
Lindsay Brooke.
instead of band, i'm going to go with artist. 2 actually.
1. Adam Lambert-If I Had You. I really don't like Adam. At all. I hate hearing "What Do You Want From Me" on the radio. but I really love "If I Had You." It's catchy and I like the words. Even tho I'm pretty sure he's singing about a dude... oh well. This song is one of my favorites from this year.
Adam Lambert-If I Had You.
2. Shakira-Gypsy. I don't like Shakira. I never have. I hate "Hips Don't Lie." I have nothing against her, I just don't like her voice. But I really like the song gypsy. Which is interesting because I really don't like her. But it's catchy and I like it a lot. I like that there's a harmonica in it as well. just a good song.
Shakira-Gypsy.
so just because I like these songs, does not mean that I like these artists. because i don't. just wanted to be clear.

A Song That Makes Me Fall Asleep: Death Cab For Cutie-I Will Follow You Into The Dark.
It doesn't put me to sleep because it's a bad song, just because it's nice and peaceful. I LOVE this song. It's one of my faves. When I had an only room, I would listen to music before I'd fall asleep. I had a whole playlist dedicated to it. I remember that this song was on it, but I'd always fall asleep before I would hear it. I want to say that this song is the one that would put me to sleep. I love everything about it. The music, the words, everything. The music is soft enough to put me to sleep, so it's the perfect song to listen to.

mmmk. so I love to dance. it's one of my favorite things. just like so you think you can dance is one of my favorite shows. I'm going to list 3 of my favorite dance songs.
1. Cascada- Everytime We Touch. BEST DANCE SONG EVER. Actually, any Cascada song is the best song to dance to. But this one has to be my favorite. It's so catchy and I have a lot of good memories that go along with this song. This has been my favorite dance song ever since it came out. loooove it.
Cascada-Everytime We Touch.
2. Flo Rida ft. David Guetta- Club Can't Handle Me. This is my favorite recent dance song. The first time I heard it, I fell in love with it. Also, it is in my favorite dance movie Step Up 3D. It has a great beat, and just makes me want to daaaaance.
Flo Rida ft. David Guetta-Club Can't Handle Me.
3. Coldplay-Fix You. The contemporary dancer in me would choose this song to dance to. If I was on SYTYCD, I would love to do a contemporary dance to this song. I always wanted to, and this season Robert totally danced it for me. asdfjkl; AND if I was dancing for my life on the show, this is the song I would choose to dance to. It's kind of my goal to dance to this song one day. I can totally picture myself doing that. I'll do 2 videos for this one, the music video, and the SYTYCD version.

Day 8: A Song That I Know All The Words To.
Posted by
Lindsay Brooke.
So there are A LOT of songs that I know all the words to. A LOT.
To me, lyrics are so powerful. It's an expression of how you are feeling and you can touch others with the way you feel too, through song.
So I know a lot of songs by heart.
The song I'm going to choose for today is Over The Rainbow.
My last semester before transferring to Hawaii, I took a voice class. I had to sing a solo in front of a crowd of 50+ people. It was so nerve racking!! I love to sing, but when I sing in front of others, it frightens me. I think it's because my voice is so personal to me and I don't want to be judged for it... I don't know, I still haven't figured out why I hate to sing in front of other people.
I had chosen to sing When Autumn Comes, but as the performance was coming closer, I told my teacher I had changed my mind to Over The Rainbow. I wasn't comfortable singing When Autumn Comes, and I knew that Over The Rainbow was more in my range and would show off my voice better. Since I changed my mind so close to the recital, I practiced for hours and hours on end. I remember the day of the recital I didn't go home at all. I stayed in that practice room for as long as I could to make sure I was prepared. When the time finally came to sing, I was terrified. But when it was over, I felt so good. I remember a girl saying "Just beautiful" on my way to sit back down. I have sang maybe 3 solos in my whole life. It continues to be hard for me, but I hope that I'll be able to get past that one of these days.
I use to hate Over The Rainbow. I thought it was an old person song. However, the more I practiced it, the more I grew to love it. This version also made me love it, although it's really popular and everyone else loves it too... I don't care.
Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole-Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
Also. I love Taylor Swift, No Doubt, and Britney Spears. I know every word to every one of their songs. Just thought I'd add that in there.
listening to: Taio Cruz- Break Your Heart.

Also. I love Taylor Swift, No Doubt, and Britney Spears. I know every word to every one of their songs. Just thought I'd add that in there.
listening to: Taio Cruz- Break Your Heart.

Day 7: A Song That Reminds Me of a Certain Event.

Alright. So I use to not like John Mayer. Like, at all. I absolutely LOVE him now. I'm actually seeing him in concert in 2 weeks. So stoked.
It wasn't until my senior year in high school, or maybe the beginning of college that I started liking him. So for most of high school, I didn't like him. My sophomore year I was going out on one of my first dates. The guy was super chill, but it was just me and him in his truck, listening to John Mayer. I was nervous/excited because I've never really done the whole dating thing before and I was a 16 nerdy girl still figuring everything out. Normally music will help calm me down. However, he was playing JOHN MAYER. I hated John Mayer. We did a lot of driving, and it seemed like all I could concentrate on was the cd playing. Finally, the cd played all the way through. It didn't matter tho, we listened to it again. I believe we went through that cd three times. I couldn't believe it. My heart felt like it was going to explode. There was one song that I actually did like, and loved when it came back on. I started singing to it which made him too. He dropped me off and overall it was a great date. When I got in, I did go straight to my room to play some different kind of music so John Mayer wouldn't be in my head when I went to sleep.
Whenever I hear No Such Thing, it reminds me of that date. This is probably the song that led me to look into John Mayer (a few years later, I was convinced that I would never like him.) This song still plays on the radio, so it's always a blast from the past when I hear it.
John Mayer-No Such Thing.
listening to: OneRepublic- Stop and Stare.
