Day 3: A Song That Makes Me Happy.

WARNING. THIS POST IS REALLY CHEESY. LIKE REALLY. I ALMOST DELETED HALF THE THINGS I WROTE BECAUSE I WAS SO EMBARRASSED. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

okay so metaphors make me happy. it makes emotions more real to me when i can compare them to something that I already love. does that make sense?

so obviously, these 2 songs make me really happy.

1. Michael Bublé- Everything. This song is PERFECT. The first time I heard it, I instantly loved it. These are the lines in the song that make me happy.

-"You make me sing." When I'm happy (and I mean like ECSTATIC) I feel like singing. My lungs feel like they're going to explode if I don't sing like right then. I'm serious! Sometimes I have to hold it in if I'm in a public place because I don't want to look like an idiot singing randomly to myself. So when I first heard the line, "it's you, it's you, you make me sing" I understood exactly what he was singing about.

-"You're the getaway car." I remember back in high school and even college pulling pranks on other people and there was always the "getaway car." It's such a rush, and such a relief to know that there is someone else going in on it with you AND knowing that they have your back to drive you away before there are any witnesses. Usually this person is a best friend. And I would only trust a best friend to pull something like that with me.

-"You're the swimming pool, on an August day." When I was little, I would go swimming everyday at the city pool. It was my favorite thing growing up. So hearing "you're the swimming pool, on an august day," is a perfect metaphor for me to relate to. Those summers were pure bliss for me.

-"You're every minute of my everyday. And I can't believe, that I'm your man, and I get to kiss you baby just because I can." I thought this line was cute. When you really like/love someone, they consume your thoughts. They become my minute of my everyday. And I love that in the song, he still can't believe that they are together and he can kiss her everyday just because he can. I just love this part of the song.

Everything=Happiness.

2. Uncle Kracker- Smile. This song, as cheesy as it sounds, makes me smile. It's just a sweet song that makes me happy. Lines that I like from this song:

-"Cooler than the flip side of my pillow, that's right." Who doesn't like the cool side of their pillow? I flip mine over all the time just to feel it. Being compared to as "cooler than the flip side of my pillow" is pretty rad. I'd take that compliment any day.

-"You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe." Boys make me act like a fool. Still. Sadly, I have not grown out of that phase of my life yet. I do/say things that I would not normally do because I want to seem impressive. I don't have a problem forgetting how to breathe, but I really like that line.

okay that's enough happiness for today. i hope you didn't laugh too hard or puke from my loveness for these songs. they mean a lot to me:) hope you listen to your happy songs today tooooooo.
