Day 4: A Song That Makes Me Sad.

So these songs are the songs that make me sad. They are all about break ups and how the dumper is leaving the dumpee crushed. It hurts when you are so attached to someone and you think everything is going just fine, and then they go and break your heart. The thing that breaks my heart the most, is how they all sing about one person waiting for the other to come around. Waiting is one of the worst things EVER in my opinion, and it hurts me that so many people live in past relationships, just waiting for their ex to realize they made a mistake and come back to them.

1. Lifehouse- Broken. My favorite verse from this song is: "The broken locks were a warning, you got inside my head. I tried my best to be guarded, I'm an open book instead." I feel like this is a strong part of the song. I like how he sings about broken locks, and getting inside the others head. I feel like there are a lot of mind games at first and I like the concept of a broken lock. I also try to stay guarded, but sometimes you can't help but becoming an open book.

2. Jack Johnson- Wrong Turn. At first, this song almost sounds happy. However, once you really listen to the words, you can really hear the meaning of this song. My favorite line from this song is: "How long has it been on your mind? Do you think about it when we laugh?" This line makes my heart hurt. It crushes me every time. I remember being in a relationship and thinking about breaking up with the guy even when we were laughing and having a good time. I think that's why this line feels so real to me and why it gives me chills whenever I hear Jack sing it.

3. Katy Perry- Thinking of You. Probably one of the best Katy Perry songs. Ever. This song is full of comparisons and regret. The emotion is very real and I love the lyrics to this song. Lines I like from this song are:

Yeah, I think every line in this song is worthy of my blog. There is no way I could dissect this into parts. Every line is stronger with the next. Powerful song.
