Day 435: What Came Up This Weekend.

General Conference food: Milk Chocolate Coconut Macadamias =)

Okay, so Thursday night, I ate some really bad chicken. Now I have been food poisoned before. But nothing compared to Thursday night. It hit me around 11:45. I thought maybe I could just sleep it off, and I would feel better if I would just lie down. But that's what's so awesome about the human body. When something inside you is not right, your body will let you know and work to get it out. So at midnight, I was throwing up. I decided to take a shower right after I was done. When I got in the shower however, I felt it coming again. So I got out and threw up again. I got back in and finished my shower. When I was done, I threw up again. I then threw up 2 more times after that. Yes. I threw up 5 times that night. It was miserable.

I slept in Friday morning and was still feeling not so great. I was afraid to eat or drink anything because I had literally thrown up everything in my body and I did not want to go through that again. So I took it really easy that day and only ate non greasy foods and soft things to make me feel better. Oh and drank Sprite to settle my stomach. I felt like an old woman. But I did feel a lot better by the middle of the day. I went to my afternoon class, took a 2 hour nap after and then I was cured.

Friday night, I was assigned with another person from work to cover the PCC Haunted Lagoon (remember when I went last year and volunteered to be in it?) I was so so sooo glad I was feeling better so I could go. We went around 6:30 and went through. Basically, the Polynesian Cultural Center makes a haunted lagoon. You get in a canoe, and get rowed around village to village, while things pop out of the water and you see haunted things along the way. This year, while waiting in line, you went through a haunted maze, which made the line seem to go by faster and it was pretty scary having people chase after you too. Anyway, I had a lot of fun and I screamed a few times too. I love getting paid to cover fun things. When we went to get our tickets from the box office, they gave us four tickets instead of two. I knew that I had some friends who wanted to go, so I kept the other two tickets. I went with the person from work, then I called up my friends after to see if they wanted to use them. When they came to get the tickets, they told me to just come with them. So I went through the Haunted Lagoon twice that night. The second time I went through with my friends, I told them that I did NOT want to sit on the end of the canoe. That's the place where people jump out from the water and stare at you. However, I ended up not only on the end, but in the front row. I hated it. I felt like I was going to fall out the entire time and I was way more scared this time because I was such an easy target and the volunteers kept coming after me. But it turned out to be fine. I didn't fall in and I made it back with a voice. I screamed way more the second time than the first. When it was over, we went to a techno dance rave. So I danced my scaredness away. It was awesome.

This weekend was General Conference. It was so nice listening and just relaxing this weekend. I love GC weekend. I really loved hearing from our Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. He always has the best things to say and I laugh every time. He is so full of energy and awesome stories. I especially enjoyed hearing about all the new temples to be built. It's amazing to see that there are temples all around the world.

In other news, I'm going to ORLANDO, FLORIDA at the end of this month and I am SO STOKED. I am going to go to Disney World and Harry Potter Land along with the Journalist Convention which is the reason why I'm going to Orlando in the first place for work. I can't wait! Happy October everyone:)

listening to: Kelly Clarkson- Mr. Know It All.
